Students can recycle on campus

The Office of Student Activities is making it easier for students to both recycle and help student organizations at the same time. Working with Office Max, Student Activities now offers a way for students to recycle their old cell phones and empty ink cartridges. Students can bring these used items to Russell Union Room 1058.

“This recycling program is a win-win situation for everyone,” said Bill Pickett, director of Student Activities. “This is a great way students and staff can make a small difference to help the environment and help our office supply items in the student organization workroom.”

Office Max will mail the old cell phones and ink cartridges to a recycling center. In return, the Office of Student Activities will receive special discounts when ordering new supplies for the student organization workroom.
