Georgia Southern University hosts basketball tailgate and pep rally Nov. 6

The Office of Spirit and Traditions at Georgia Southern University will host a basketball tailgate and pep rally Tuesday, Nov. 6, in the Paulson Stadium parking lot. The tailgate will begin at 7 p.m. with the rally following the Bulloch County Eagle Club dinner.

Head men’s and women’s basketball coaches Jeff Price and Rusty Cram will speak at the rally. The cheerleaders, Gus and the ‘Hoop Troop” band will be on hand to get the crowd excited about the upcoming season.

‘Pep rallies are such a great way to get all students involved in the campus community,” said Leslie Spoon, coordinator of the Office of Spirit and Traditions. ‘It’s also a good chance for the students to get to know the players they will be cheering for this season!”
The tailgate will feature free food and give-aways including Georgia Southern t-shirts, basketballs, megaphones and glow sticks.

The event is free and open to students, faculty, staff and the community. It is sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, and the Residence Hall Association.
