Georgia Southern University Celebrating Homecoming Nov. 9-14
Georgia Southern University will celebrate Homecoming Nov. 9-14 with a week of activities themed ‘Eagles Over the Big Top.”
Along with a number of student activities, the University invites the community to come out for events such as the pep rally (Nov. 12, 7 p.m.) and parade (Nov. 13, 4 p.m.). A free outdoor showing of the movie ‘G.I. Joe” will follow the pep rally, and a cookout on Sweetheart Circle will follow the parade.
“Everyone involved has worked very hard to make this one of the best Homecoming weeks ever at Georgia Southern. We hope to get everyone involved in this celebration of our school, from new students to our alumni and the community,” said Rachel Baker of the Georgia Southern University Traditions Council.
Homecoming Week wraps up Nov. 14 with the football game at 2 p.m. against arch-rival Furman. Eagle fans are encouraged to ‘blue out” Paulson Stadium by wearing as much Georgia Southern blue as possible.
