Georgia Southern to Observe U.S. Army’s Birthday
Georgia Southern University’s Military Affairs Department will celebrate the 238th birthday of the U.S. Army with a program at noon on June 14 at the Nessmith Lane Conference Center Ballroom, 847 Plant Drive.
Bill Cathcart, Ph.D., WTOC-TV vice president and general manager, will be the featured speaker. Cathcart was recently appointed to serve as a Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army (CASA). He is a special Army ambassador who interacts with commanders and the Secretary of the Army on issues affecting soldiers and their families in the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry.
The birthday celebration is free and open to everyone.
