Georgia Southern offers 15-week course credits in just four weeks

Get ahead or catch up with summer school opportunities available at all three Georgia Southern campuses

It’s the age-old question, “What did you do last summer?” Now, thanks to Georgia Southern University, students can take advantage of shorter semesters and smaller classes when they enroll in summer school available on the Statesboro, Armstrong and Liberty campuses.

A typical semester lasts 15 weeks but during summer semester at Georgia Southern, students can earn the full 15-week credit condensed into just four short weeks. For students who want to get ahead or those who have a little catching up to do, the nearly 1,600 classes offered during summer semester at Georgia Southern make it the ideal time to rack up those crucial course credits and graduate on time

On-campus housing is offered on both the Statesboro and Armstrong campuses to ensure that taking summer classes as easy as possible for students. For students who might just have their hearts set on going home or traveling for the summer, Georgia Southern has more than 300 fully online core, elective and major courses to accommodate their off-campus needs. Speaking of traveling, Georgia Southern also offers both core and major classes in its study abroad summer programs so students can earn credits while crossing continents in what is certain to be one unforgettable summer semester.
