Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in filming at Georgia Southern
University. Our 690-acre campus is considered by many to be one of the
most scenic and beautiful college campuses in the country. Comprised of
educational and recreational facilities in Statesboro, GA, the campus
is home to nearly 17,000 students.
For convenience, the word "filming" applies to Motion Pictures,
filming, videotaping, still photography and digital imaging. The guidelines
below will assist you in your request. The guidelines apply to the University’s
main campus in Statesboro, GA and its satellite locations including the
Dublin Center, the Coastal Georgia Center and all other official Georgia
Southern University facilities.
Permission to film on campus will be granted only if, in the sole
determination of Georgia Southern University, it is in the University's
best interest to permit such filming. The University reserves the right
to deny permission to film on campus.
The general guidelines which follow apply to most film requests. The respective

Requirements
Filming on University property is permitted only if it does not interfere
with normal University business and previously scheduled events.
Approval to film on University property for commercial
or non-news purposes must be obtained prior to filming. The issuing of
approval is coordinated through the Georgia Southern University Office
of Marketing & Communications.
To begin the process, submit a film
request application. The Office of Marketing & Communications
will review the application in conjunction with the appropriate campus
or facility and work with the applicant to ensure requirements are met
prior to issuing approval.
A minimum of 10 business days (two weeks) is normally
required to properly consider any request.
