Alumni to celebrate history of Armstrong State College at ‘Always Strong’ event
Georgia Southern and the Armstrong Alumni Association will celebrate and honor 126 faculty and staff members during the Always Strong: Armstrong State College series set for 4 p.m. on Jan. 20.
“The Always Strong series has been very popular with alumni as well as with former faculty and staff,” said Cheryl Ciucevich, associate director of Alumni Relations. “It’s a fun event that lets the alumni see the people who guided them and inspired them to become the people they are today.”
Alumni have nominated their favorite faculty and staff members who most inspired them during the era that the University was known as Armstrong State College from 1966-1996.
This recognition is part of a yearlong celebration of Armstrong’s history. The celebration will conclude on June 1 with the installation of a Wall of Honor listing the faculty and staff who have been honored at four separate events.
The event will be held in the Ballroom of the Student Union on the Armstrong Campus in Savannah.
