Watch Games Streamed Online

Georgia Southern fans are getting a clearer look at home baseball games this season with the introduction of a new high definition (HD), online streaming experience. The new streaming service found online at gseagles.com, includes live HD video of each home game. In addition, the video stream features radio play-by-play from the Georgia Southern Radio Network’s Ryan Chambers and Chris Draper. The University’s investment in HD capabilities is just the latest in a series of investments all designed to improve the fan experience. In addition to baseball, the new technology will also be used for home football games as well as select basketball, volleyball, soccer and softball events.

EAGLE ATHLETICS

Nate Hirsch joins Georgia Radio Hall of Fame

Nate Hirsch, long-time voice of the Georgia Southern Eagles, is now a member of the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame. He was inducted during a ceremony in Macon last fall. Hirsch called the action for Eagles basketball, baseball and football games from 1970 to 2006 including all six Division I-AA national championships.

“I felt like I was an ambassador for Georgia Southern because I was the one making the trips to all the campuses,” explained Hirsch. “Being inducted was something I wanted to share with the people of Statesboro and Georgia Southern because you don’t get into the Hall of Fame by yourself obviously.”
