Buffalo Holds on to Win Camellia Bowl

Despite trimming a nine-point deficit down to three in the final minutes of the game, Georgia Southern fell to the Buffalo Bulls in the Camellia Bowl with a score of 23-21. Justin Marshall caught 11 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown and Alex McNulty kicked three field goals. The Eagles had a strong performance with quarterback Kyle Vantrease completing 28 passes for 352 yards and two touchdowns, and Beau Johnson caught five passes for 118 yards. OJ Arnold ran for 68 yards and Alex Raynor made two field goals. It was Georgia Southern’s fifth bowl game since moving up from the FCS in 2014, and the Eagles are 3-2.
