Get ready to vote! It’s time for our first-ever Truest Bluest Pet Competition and you get to decide who wins the title.
All through the month of March, we will be releasing new brackets for you to vote on through our social media channels. You can vote on any of our channels during the designated days and times. Once a bracket closes, we will tally the votes and update the brackets here.

Jack is True Blue through and through! He loves to flaunt his Eagle support when he’s out with his family and cheer on his favorite team during every game.
Maggie
Maggie is a Great Pyrenees mix who lives with her alumni parents (‘01, ‘02) and her human big brother (future class of 2029). She is a True Blue companion and you can find her cuddled up next to her family, watching Georgia Southern sporting events and cheering on the Blue & White!
Rawlings
Rawlings loves anything Georgia Southern and has a bad case of the wants for the Truest Bluest Pet of 2021!
Schnitzel
Schnitzel is a 6-year-old dachshund who loves living the Georgia Southern life. Her favorite activities are watching Georgia Southern baseball play during Bark in the Park games and sunbathing with her mama and aunts on pool days!
Rigi
Rigi is a Bernese Mountain Dog who is celebrating his birthday this month! He loves cold weather because it’s the perfect time to break out his favorite sweatshirt, but he believes every day is the best day to rep his favorite team!
Carlisle
Carlisle is the Truest Bluest pet because he was there and will be there for every True Blue moment! Please vote for him because giving him this award would be like giving him the degree he worked hard for!
Rizzo
Rizzo loves to play and nap with his very best friend — GUS! Rizzo would love to be chosen as the Truest Bluest Pet of 2021.
GATA
GATA, named after the famous Georgia Southern saying, is a 2-year-old emotional support kitty. He’s been a Georgia Southern cat from day one, as he lived in the Centennial Place dorms as a kitten.
Honorable Mentions
The eight pets listed in the Truest Bluest Pet Competition and the 24 honorable mentions listed above were selected based on social media engagement. Any True Blue Pet posted by the University on one of our social media accounts between January 1, 2021, and December 31, 2021, was eligible, however, those listed here received the highest levels of engagement.
