Savannah Is One of The World’s Greatest Places

Savannah, home of Georgia Southern University’s Armstrong Campus, is a must-see destination. The Hostess City of the South made TIME magazine’s third annual list of the World’s Greatest Places. The list features 100 extraordinary travel destinations around the world. Savannah, the only city in Georgia to make the list, is highlighted for preserving and revitalizing its historic waterfront.

Joseph Marinelli, president of Visit Savannah, called the recognition incredible. “With readers all over the globe, this kind of exposure for our community is unmatched and truly puts Savannah at the forefront of the greatest visitor destinations in the world,” Marinelli said in a news release.
